Created during a weekly life drawing session in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, this piece was completed from a 30-minute pose. Using a limited palette of graphite and chalk on toned paper, I emphasized tonal contrast to define form and light, capturing the essence of the figure with simplicity and focus.
